How Unit Price Works
Unit price equals price divided by size. Convert sizes first: 1 kg = 1000 g, 1 L = 1000 ml and 1 lb = 453.592 g. Normalize to per 100 g/ml or per item for a fair comparison.
Price per gram = price divided by grams.
Price per 100 g = price per gram times 100.
Price per item = price divided by count.
Compare within one unit family only.
Gap = second lowest divided by lowest minus 1.
